Our 2005 Prius

We went to St. Louis the other day and when I looked at the average MPH it was registering 52.3 for several miles. This is the most we have ever gotten. Most of the time it is between 42 and 48 MPH not ever the 60 as advertised. We really like the car and have had several people ask many questions about it. We have a 1995 Town Car sitting in the garage and only drive it around town to keep the battery charged. Since I have gotten used to driving the Prius the Town Car seems too large for me. It definately uses too much gas! We would like to take a trip to CA this Summer in the Prius. A person might think the Prius would not be very comfortable being a small car but we find it to be very comfortable! We are retired and it is just the right size for us, short trip or long trip doesn't matter.
