Toyota
2007 Yaris S Sedan doing 354,000 miles in 3 years
Submitted By: Jameel H. - Hallandale Beach, FL

I own an 07' Yaris S 4dr sedan 5spd manual fully loaded with an intake, headers and exhaust. I drive for an average of 12hrs per day. And I do an average of 400 miles per day 6 days per week. I'm currently @ 360,000 miles in 3 years 24 days and still running on the original brakes, clutch and oxygen sensors. I do an oil change and overall inspection every 5,000 miles using an OEM oil filter and a cheap off-brand 5w-30 synthetic oil. I've never had any mechanical issues. The only issue I ever had was my alternator intermittently charging @ 323,000 miles, which I replaced with a used OEM low mileage unit. The car still runs and sounds great. The only downfall is my fuel efficiency has dropped from 44mpg average to 36mpg average. But, I think my fuel pump assembly and my oxygen sensors are responsible for this drop. I strongly believe this car will take me to a MILLION miles without any serious mechanical issues. I love my Yaris for its features, comfort, reliability, fuel efficiency and mechanical engineering. This car requires very low maintenance. I swear by my Yaris and would not purchase any other vehicle but a Toyota in the future.
