- Where do I find my VIN?
- Your VIN -Vehicle Identification Number- is the unique identifier specifically for your vehicle. This is the number your Department of Motor Vehicles uses, your insurance company uses... and we use to be able to distinguish your vehicle from everyone else's.
- The one and only reason we require it to register for MyToyota is so we can be as precise as possible with the information you get. That way, you don't have to sift through a bunch of stuff that doesn't apply to you or your vehicle.
- We don't share ANY information with Motor Vehicles, or your insurance company or anyone else, so there's no need to be concerned about including your VIN in your registration.
- You can find your VIN in the following places:
-
- Insurance Card: You can find your VIN on the Insurance Identification Card issued by your insurance company.
- Vehicle Registration Card: You can find your VIN on the Vehicle Registration card issued by your Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Top of the Dash: You can find your VIN on the metal plate located on your dash, near the windshield, on the driver's side.
- Driver's-Side Door Jamb: You can find your VIN on the label affixed to the door jamb on the driver's side.

I received the following message when trying to view my Dealership Service Records, "Toyota Owners Service History is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance. Please check back later." What does this mean?
- How do I use the My Service Records portion of the site?

You may add information about services performed at another location by clicking on the "Add New Service Record" field. Enter the service date, mileage, service provider, and select the type of service performed. Then, click "Add" to save your record.

- Why are my services from past years not shown?
- For most Dealers, our records go back to late 2004. However, in certain areas, we did not begin storing dealer repair order information until late 2007. These areas include: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

- If I sell the vehicle, will my records be available for the next owner?
- Only Dealer-reported service information is carried over with each Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Since records entered by customers cannot be verified by Toyota, we do not transfer the information entered by owners.
